What

RecycleBank is a rewards program that motivates participants to recycle by offering valuable RecycleBank Points for your household recycling efforts. Participating recycling members can experience a potential savings of $100–$200 a year when using Points for rewards.

Points can be redeemed for rewards such as groceries, apparel and gift cars at local and national businesses, or reward partners, in the Chattanooga area. www.RecycleBank.com contains a wealth of information about the program including a list of all participating reward partners. It also provides great tips to help you live a greener lifestyle.

How YOU Earn Points: When you sign up for recycling, Allied Waste will provide you a new recycling cart. Allied Waste and RecycleBank will measure and record the amount you recycle when you bring your cart to the curb on the designated day, convert that amount into Points, and credit your RecycleBank account. The more you recycle, the more Points you can earn and the more money you can save each month!

When

Mid-March— Allied Waste will send a letter out to existing customers introducing the RecycleBank program.

End of March—Participating customers will receive new recycling carts

End of March/Beginning of April—Customers will receive information from RecycleBank explaining how to register with RecycleBank and activate your account.

April 19, 2010—Curbside recycling and RecycleBank program begins

Ongoing 2010—Call Allied Waste to sign up for recycling and for Recyclebank
